- Briefing and Packing: Receive a briefing about the horse riding excursion and ensure you have essentials such as sun protection, comfortable clothing, water, and a camera.
Departure from the Resort
- Board Transport: Board a resort-provided shuttle or private vehicle for the journey to Banana Bank Lodge.
- Travel Time: The drive to Banana Bank Lodge takes approximately 1 hour.
Arrival at Banana Bank Lodge
- Welcome and Orientation: Arrive at Banana Bank Lodge and meet your guide. Get an overview of the day’s activities and the safety briefing.
- Horse Assignment: Meet your horse and receive instructions on riding techniques and horse handling.
Horse Riding Begins
- Trail Ride: Begin your guided trail ride through the lush Belizean countryside. Enjoy the scenic views of tropical forests, rivers, and possibly wildlife.
- Guided Commentary: Your guide will provide insights into the local flora and fauna, as well as the history of the area.
Mid-Ride Break
- Rest Stop: Take a short break during the ride to stretch, hydrate, and enjoy the natural surroundings.
- Snacks and Refreshments: Light refreshments may be provided during the break.
Continue Riding
- Explore More Trails: Continue exploring additional trails and enjoy the serene landscape. Engage with the guide to learn more about the environment and local wildlife.
Return to Lodge
- Wrap-Up Ride: Return to Banana Bank Lodge and dismount your horse. Take time to thank your guide and your horse for the experience.
- Freshen Up: Use the facilities at the lodge to freshen up after the ride.
Departure from Banana Bank Lodge
- Prepare for Departure: Board your transport for the return journey to the Black Orchid Resort.
- Travel Time: The drive back takes approximately 1 hour.
Arrival Back at the Resort
- Return to the Resort: Arrive back at the Black Orchid Resort.
- Relax and Unwind: Enjoy the rest of the afternoon at the resort, perhaps with a refreshing drink or lunch to recap your horse riding
